Kristine Krauze Slucka focuses on the investigation of industrially produced materiality as a starting point for pseudo-social anthropological findings. In her attitude, she acts like a hunter-gatherer who learns the world order through observation, chance and association. Creates objects, installations and works with photographically conditioned renderings, often preserving the methods of creating experimental tactile images.
Kristīne Krauze-Slucka has obtained a Fine Art Master's degree from the Visual Communication Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts and received the Grand Prix of Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award (2020).
Twice nominated for the prestigious "Purvītis Prize".
In 2022 chosen as a FUTURES (Europe-based photography platform) artist.
Lecturer at the International Summer School of Photography (ISSP).
LV
Kristīne Krauze Slucka pievēršas industriāli ražotas materialitātes studijām kā pseido-antropoloģisku meklējumu sākumpunktam. Savā attieksmē viņa līdzinās medītājai-vācējai, kas pasaules kārtību mācās caur vērojumu, nejaušību un kopsakarībām. Strādā ar fotogrāfiski nosacītiem risinājumiem, bieži saglabājot eksperimentāli taktilo attēlu veidošanas pieeju.
Ieguvusi maģistra grādu Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas Vizuālās komunikācijas nodaļā un saņēmusi Ziemeļvalstu un Baltijas jauno mākslinieku Grand Prix balvu (2020).
Divas reizes izvirzīta Purvīša balvas nominācijai.
2022. gadā izvēlēta par FUTURES (Eiropas fotogrāfijas platformas) mākslinieci.
Vada lekcijas un darbnīcas ISSP skolā.
