Kristīne Krauze-Slucka is a visual artist based in Riga, Latvia. She works with photographic images and industrial materials.

Through a range of materiality, she seeks to create speculative narratives that address psychogeography as an aesthetic category of inquiry.

Kristīne Krauze-Slucka has obtained a Fine Art Master's degree from the Visual Communication Department of the Latvian Academy of Arts (2020).

 In 2020, she received a scholarship from the foundation of the painter Valdemārs Tone and the Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award, as well as the special prize of the Riga Photography Biennial – NEXT 2021, and published her first photography book “Vibrations of the material universe. Thirst for gold” in collaboration with the Lithuanian publisher “NoRoutine Books”, which appeared in summer 2021.”  

Twice nominated for the prestigious "Purvītis Prize" in the 3rd quarter of 2021 for the personal exhibition "Obedient touch" as part of the Riga Photography Biennale "Next 2021" exhibition "Digital Dark Age" in the Latvian Museum of Photography. And in the 2nd quarter of 2022 for the personal exhibition "Forced movements of the past" in the cultural space "You already know where".

Kristīne Krauze-Slucka ir latviešu vizuālā māksliniece, kas savā mākslinieciskajā praksē strādā ar fotogrāfisko attēlu un rūpnieciski ražotiem materiāliem. Izmantojot dažādas materialitātes, viņa veido spekulatīvus naratīvus, kuros pievēršas psihoģeogrāfiskai kartēšanai kā estētiskas izpētes kategorijai.

2020. gadā ieguvusi maģistra grādu Latvijas Mākslas akadēmijas Vizuālās komunikācijas nodaļā. 

2020. gadā saņēmusi gleznotāja Valdemāra Tones fonda stipendiju un Ziemeļvalstu un Baltijas jauno mākslinieku Grand Prix balvu.

Ieguvusi “Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāles – NEXT 2021” specbalvu un publicējusi savu pirmo foto grāmatu “Materiālā visuma vibrācijas. Zelta slāpes” sadarbībā ar izdevniecību NoRoutine Books (Lietuva). Grāmata iegādāta arī Latvijas Nacionālās bibliotēkas krājumā.

Divas reizes izvirzīta Purvīša balvas nominācijai 2021.gada 3.ceturksnī par personālizstādi “Paklausīgs pieskāriens” Rīgas Fotogrāfijas biennāles “Next 2021” izstādes “Digitālie viduslaiki” ietvaros, Latvijas fotogrāfijas muzejā. Un 2022.gada 2.ceturksnī par personālizstādi "Pagātnes piespiedu kustības" kultūrtelpā "Tu jau zini kur".
